Shower Leak Turned into Mold Damage
This house in Napa had a slow shower leak behind the wall undetected for few weeks. The leak created a perfect environment for mold to take over the entire bathroom spreading on the walls, ceilings and floors. Due to high levels of moisture, the drywall became soft and bubbled and then broke into pieces. The remaining drywall was torn out in order for the plumber to fix the leak. The home owner contacted SERVPRO of Napa County to access the damage and provide scope of work to remediate the house. Once the work was approved, our crew removed all the affected materials, treated the house for mold and dried the structure with HEPA air scrubbers and a hydroxyl generator. After a few days of drying and another precautionary treatment of anti-microbial the wall was ready for rebuild. If you have had mold damage in your home or business.
